Description  A comfort food for many


  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 cups curd
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2-3 red chillies
  • a sprig of curry leaves
  • salt to taste


  • Allow the cooked rice to cool slightly
  • When it is still little warm, mix the curd into the rice.
  • Add the milk and mix. Adjust the consistency by adding some water.
  • Temper the curd rice with mustard seeds, red chillies, and curry leaves
  • Add salt to taste
  • Refrigerate before serving.
