A spicy dry potato fry.


4 potatoes – boil and peel and cut into 1 inch pieces

1 large onion – chopped

2 green chilies – cut into long siivers

2 tomatoes – chopped

2 tbsp of chopped cilantro

¼ tsp. turmeric

1 tsp. chili powder

2 tsp. dhania powder

MTR sambar powder

1 tbsp. curry leaves

1 tsp. mustard seeds

¼ tsp. hing powder


In a wok, heat 4 tbsp of oil and add hing, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.

Add onions and sautee until light brown.

Add green chilies.

Add turmeric, dhania powder, and potatoes. Cook until the potatoes are coated with onion masala mixture.

Add chili powder

Add additional water if needed.

Add tomatoes and sautee until everything is cooked.

Add salt to taste.

Finally, add the MTR Sambar powder sand garnish with cilantro.
