Description A spicy gravy with boiled eggs and bell pepper

Ingredients

6 hard boiled eggs

2 cups bell pepper cubed

2 cups grated onions

2 tbsp cashew or almond paste

3 tbsp tomato paste

2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

3 tsp chilli powder

1tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

1 inch piece cinnamon

2 cloves

2-3 pods cardamon

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

3 tbsp oil

 

Method

  • Boil the eggs and make 3-4 slits (not too deep) on the sides so as to absorb the masala
  • Take the oil in a pan and heat it
  • Add the cinnamon, cloves and cardamon
  • Add the grated onions and cook till they brown
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and cook for a while
  • Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt and saute
  • Add the cashew / almond paste and cook till the gravy starts bubbling
  • Add the bell peppers and saute for a while adding a little water till the peppers are tender
  • Add the eggs to the gravy along with the chopped coriander leaves and tomato paste
  • Cover the pan and cook for another 5 mins
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
